Winter Exercise of Explorers – 1965

The script relied on a dramatic arc, the music enhanced the feelings of tension and relaxation, the camera and editing helped shape the plot.

Despite the directorial elements used, the piece was not fiction, but a stylized reportage from a training exercise of real explorers in real conditions of winter training, which director Stanislav Brožík and his crew treated as an audience-appealing and production-intensive diversification of a military film periodical.
